At Grandparents Merit Badges, we have tried to remove the guesswork out of quality ways to spend time with your grandchildren.
A wonderful thing about grandparents is that many of them have crafts, skills and interests that they enjoy sharing with their family members. We have put together a book where this is explored one activity at a time. When the activity is completed, you place your merit badge sticker on the page with the date of completion.
At the end of the book, there is a merit badge certification that you and your grandchild will fill in and sign.
Which badges will you earn first?
Bake Cookies. Cooking is a universal love shared by family members for family members. Now you can bring your skills together and earn a merit badge to show for it!
Take or Draw a Picture of Each Other. This is the perfect activity to tap into their creative side. Kids draw the sweetest and sometimes surprising details on pictures. A perfect way to spend time, and a fun eye-opening experience too! Don’t forget to put your badge of completion! You just earned another one!
Take a Walk. Sometimes the simplest act can be overlooked. Take a walk with your loved one and record it in your activity book. Did you walk to a creek or over a bridge in the neighborhood? Earn a badge from one of nature’s easiest forms of relaxation.
